The album is here!

After all the bluff and marketing and silly films, the actual physical album has arrived with us.

And it is beautiful.

I listened to it yesterday and got goose-bumps, which is not bad for a collection of songs I've had to listen to repeatedly for the best part of two years. I don't want to sound like some anti-capitalist peace-nik but, on one level, I don't care if we only shift a single copy - we've done it, it's perfect and that's all that really matters.

Finally.

It's done.

It's taken over a year to finish our first full album but now Minus is ready.

I don't even know if anyone reads this thing but it bears writing that it's been a very strange, long, frustrating and, ultimately, redeeming year. A cursory glance over the previous posts will show that we've been confused, bemused, uncertain and in a strange place for much of it.

At time of writing we are two days away from the first gig with our new drummer - Mark - and very much looking forward to the future, whatever that means. We're no longer doing "one gig a year" (which didn't quite pan out as planned anyway, to be honest) or disappearing to write new stuff. We're very much here and very much working hard to uphold the high standards we've always set for ourselves on record and on stage.

The LP is perfect and we've already started writing new stuff.

If you are reading this, stay with us, enjoy the new album and expect more this year.

RE-PLUGGED

We have decided to play only one gig this year.

We wanted to do something special - less is more, quality not quantity.

We'll be paying for about an hour and a half in total - two sets divided between the acoustic Kobayashi and the delicately heavy sound you all know. Both will feature new material as well as old favorites to which we will be saying goodbye.
